STAR-SPANGLED STROLL & ROLL YOUTH PARADE (3:30-4:30pm)
Get ready to roll! Kick off Gurnee’s America 250 Celebration with a patriotic “Stroll & Roll” parade for all ages! Decorate your bike, scooter, wagon, wheelchair, or other non-motorized wheeled device at our decorating party, then join the colorful stroll to Viking Park. This free event is open to all ages, and helmets are strongly encouraged for all participants. Parents/guardians must remain with their children throughout the event. Parade details include:
- Decorating party: 3:30-4:00pm (supplies, such as patriotic streamers, pinwheels, and mini flags will be available, while supplies last)
- Stroll/parade begins: 4:00pm
- Start location: Gurnee Fire Station 1 | 4580 Old Grand Avenue
- End location: Viking Park | 4374 Old Grand Avenue
- Route distance: approximately 1/4 mile
- Parking: parking is available in nearby lots including Viking Middle School and Viking Park West
- A FREE, secure bike storage area will be available at Viking Park until 10:30pm
*Please note: Old Grand Avenue will be closed to traffic from 3:45-4:45pm for the parade.
DESFILE JUVENIL “STAR-SPANGLED STROLL & ROLL” (3:30 p. m. – 4:15 p. m.) ¡Prepárate para el recorrido! ¡Da inicio a la celebración “America 250” de Gurnee con un desfile patriótico de paseo y rodaje (“Stroll & Roll”) para todas las edades! Decora tu bicicleta, patinete, carrito, silla de ruedas u otro vehículo con ruedas no motorizado en nuestra fiesta de decoración y luego únete al colorido recorrido hacia Viking Park. Este evento gratuito está abierto a personas de todas las edades; se recomienda encarecidamente el uso de casco para todos los participantes. Los padres o tutores deben permanecer con sus hijos durante todo el evento. Detalles del desfile:
