Gurnee Fire Department is excited to open its doors to the community for a fun and educational day for all ages. Throughout the event, you’ll have the chance to tour the station, meet your firefighters, and explore our emergency vehicles up close.

Be sure to check out the elevated rope rescue demonstration, where you’ll see specialized rescue techniques in action. The Fire Department will also be hosting a side-by-side live fire demonstration that highlights the importance and effectiveness of home sprinkler systems – a powerful and eye-opening comparison you won’t want to miss.

For younger visitors, kids can slide down our fire pole, bounce safely in our “Stop, Drop, and Roll” bounce house, spray real fire hoses, and even talk directly with a real diver in the water tank demonstration.

There will also be fire safety materials and take-home goodies available for families while supplies last.
