Gurnee celebrates summer every year at Gurnee Days! Held since 1973, Gurnee Days continues to be a family orientated weekend filled with music, food and entertainment for all ages. Here are a five things to know before coming out and enjoying the festivities this year.

Plan on parking

Parking is limited right at Viking Park. Do not worry, FREE public parking is available. If you come on Saturday, shuttle bus routes will be available to and from:

  • Warren High School North Parking Lot
  • Welton Village Plaza
  • Viking Middle School

Additional options for parking without Saturday shuttle services include:

  • Village Hall
  • Warren-Newport Library
  • Viking Park West

Find some food

Gurnee Days would not be complete without access to thirteen local Gurnee restaurants in one location. Food will be available for purchase all three days. What is a summer festival without a bit of indulgence? Come on out for Rib Fest on Saturday, starting at noon with Rib Eating Contest taking place from 2:30 pm – 3:00 pm on the main stage!

Make time for family

From Friday to Sunday the activities are endless. Complete schedule of Gurnee Days events can be found here. Family favorites include amusement rides all three days, a fireworks show on Saturday night, and Gurnee Days Hooray for Hollywood Parade Sunday at noon.

Enjoy entertainment

The lineup this year will be loud! All three nights, talented musicians will take the Viking Park Stage. Friday night is Ax and the Hatchetmen from 5:00 pm – 6:30 pm, followed by Boy Band Night from 7:30 pm – 10:30 pm. Saturday night's live entertainment includes King by Friday from 5:00 pm – 7:30 pm and Hi Infidelity from 8:00 pm to 11:00 pm. Sunday afternoon ends the live entertainment with Jim Gill's Family Concert from 2:30 pm to 3:30 pm.
