Tier 1
As of today, region 9 will be entering into TIER 1. This means Gurnee Park District is able to resume operations similar to Phase 4 of Restore Illinois which was effective from June 2020 - November 2020.
The Tier 1 mitigations most impacts the following:
- Youth Basketball will now be able to participate intra squad scrimmages
- FitNation Gurnee's group exercise classes can now serve 25 members on a first come, first serve basis
- Masks / face coverings are required inside the facility at all times
- Aquatics, dance, Growing Tree Preschool and CARE will move forward as they are currently scheduled

Tier 2
As you are probably aware, Governor Prtizker announced our region, region 9 will be entering into TIER 2 effective January 18.
These changes do have a significant impact on our recreational and fitness services. While we cannot predict what the coming weeks and months will bring, we remain hopeful that these mitigation efforts will help and allow us to return to operations at a fuller capacity before long. The health and well-being of our community has been and remains our utmost priority, and all decisions on how the District can meet recreational needs will focus first on maintaining public health.
