AMENITY UPDATES FOR NOVEMBER 2, 2020

Please review amenity updates that will return to FitNation Gurnee on Nations Drive, starting November 2, 2020. 

KidNation/Childcare 

  • Children 3 months - 2.5 years can attend with reservation 
  • Link to make online reservation for children 3 months - 2.5 years will be available soon 
  • Children older than 2.5 years do not need a reservation 
  • KidNation/Childcare services do not provide diaper changing services

Pickleball Flex Studio 

After making an online reservation, all pickleball players must check in at the front desk prior to entering the Flex Studio. Equipment can be brought from home or checked out from the front desk. A photo id is required to rent FitNation Pickleball equipment .Please review additional details below. 

  • Pickleball Reservations 
    • Pickleball is available to FitNation members only 
    • Reservations are required, please check the open gym pickleball schedule for availability 
    • Link to make online reservation for pickleball will be available soon
    • All group members need to be listed when the reservation is made.
    • Reservations must be made online via our website and will only be held for 15 minutes past the start time of the reservation. The court will be released if the players don’t show by that time.
  • Pickleball Safety Protocols 
    • Based on the inability to maintain social distance of 6ft, all double play participants must wear face coverings 
    • Face coverings are also required when when entering and exiting FitNation, when walking in hallways and when social distancing is difficult to maintain 
    • A maximum of four players are permitted inside the Flex Studio

AVAILABLE FACILITY FEATURES

Members, please view all our amenities below.  Many are available, with additional safety precautions to align with the Governor's Restore Illinois plan. 

Please review additional safety protocols as well as locker, shower and towel service availability.

Lockers / Locker Room Safety Protocols 

  • Please clean lockers before and after use 
  • Members are required to bring their own locks for lockers 
  • Sauna and Steamroom will remain closed at this time
  • Social distancing of six feet will remain in effect in the locker rooms
  • Hairdryers will not be available
  • Roughly half of the lockers will be open and available to use
    • Some areas of the locker room will remain closed

Locker Rentals - Lockers are available to rent.  To do so, please speak with a membership services representative during your next visit.
Payments will be made monthly. 

  • Large Locker Rental - $25 per month 
  • Small Locker Rental - $15 per month

Showers

  • Available showers will be marked
  • All new/remodeled showers will be open for use (6 of the 11 total)
  • Shower towels are available at the front desk 
  • Please return shower towels to the return drop-in bin inside the locker room 
  • Hairdryers will not be available

Towel Service 

  • Shower towels are available at the front desk 
  • Please return shower towels to the return drop-in bin inside the locker room 
  • Sweat towels are available at the front desk 
  • Please return sweat towels to the return drop-in bin inside the locker room 

Listed below is the initial opening operational information.

  • Initial Operational Hours:
    • Mon / Wed / Fri / Sat 7:30a-11:30a
    • Tue / Thur 330p-830p
    • Closed Sunday
  • Access:
    • At this time, KidNation will only be open to current childcare members
    • No drop in care or daily fees are available
    • Access will be offered on a first come first serve basis with a capacity of 20 children at any given time
    • Initially, service will be available to children ages 2 and older 
    • Children under the age of 2 will be permitted started November 2
  • Membership:
    • You can add childcare to any membership for an additional $15 a month 
    • Visit a membership services representative to reactivate or add childcare to your membership
  • What to expect when you arrive:
    • Children are required to wear face coverings
    • Wellness Checks – all parents will assess their child’s wellness every day before dropping off at childcare and will sign stating that the child is well
    • Staff will regularly conduct visual inspections of children for signs of illness, which could include flushed cheeks, coughing, fatigue or other COVID-19 like symptoms
    • Please keep your child at home if there is any indication of possible illness
      • As a reminder, the CDC has indicated the following as possible symptoms of COVID-19: Cough, Shortness of breath, Difficulty breathing, Fever, Chills, Fatigue, Muscle pain, Headache, Sore throat, New loss of taste or smell, Congestion, Runny nose, Nausea, Vomiting, or Diarrhea (Please note: This list may not be all possible symptoms, which can range from mild to severe)
      • Children experiencing any of the symptoms listed above you should stay home
    • Children displaying any of the symptoms listed above will be sent home
    • If anyone in your household is experiencing any of the above symptoms or has tested positive for COVID-19, they must remain home for 14 days per CDC guidelines

The Nations Drive location's indoor pool will be open for lap swim, one person per lane, when swim lessons are not in session.

Swim lessons that are offered at this time include Swim with Me (6 mos. - 4 years),  Little Swimmers (3 - 6 years)Learn to Swim (5 - 12 years) and Swim Academy (7-14 years). Click each class to sign up.

Cardio, plate loaded, cable machines and equipment will be available on a rotating basis to adhere to social distancing needs and sanitization schedules. 

All members will be provided with disinfectant spray and towel.  Please wipe down all equipment before and after use. 

Please remember to socially distance when on the fitness floor.  Should you not be able to do so, please wear your mask when moving throughout the facility. 

Please bring your own water bottle. Only touchless refillable water stations will be available for use.  Water fountains will not be accessible at this time. 

Basketball is available at our Nations Drive location.  1 person is permitted per hoop. Please bring your own ball.  

FitNation on Nations Drive gives access to more equipment, space for stretching, HIIT training or interval work outs. Medicine balls, kettle bells, weight sleds and other cross training equipment is available.

Be sure to socially distance when using the performance turf area.  Members will also be provided with a disinfectant spray bottle and towel to wipe down all equipment before and after use.  

This system of suspension equipment leverages gravity body weight to perform hundreds of exercises. You can still sign up for TRX small group training for a nominal fee.

Please utilize TRX® Zone while practicing social distancing.  Members will also be provided with a disinfectant spray bottle and towel to wipe down all equipment before and after use.

Members, we appreciate your patience at this time.  Prior to your visit to our Nations Drive location, please review what amenities are not available at this time.  We thank you for your understanding as safety continues to be our top priority.   

Both saunas and steam rooms are not available at this time

Sauna and steam rooms are temporarily unavailable and will be opened/made available as soon as State and CDC guidelines allow.

Pickleball reservations will be accepted starting November 2.  Additional information will be provided shortly. 

GROUP EXERCISE AND PERSONAL TRAINING
