The parking with access to the Des Plaines River Trail is behind The Shanty and is accessed off of Wadsworth Road. Hard-packed gravel. Some shade. We’ll head SOUTH on the DPRT. One loop is 1.5 miles and there is a longer loop that runs along the river and is closer to 2.5 miles. Mostly flat. Pets welcome.
