Once you enter Independence Grove go to the LEFT and head to the end for parking. \nNote: they may check your ID at the gate. Entry is free for Lake County residents but you will need your ID to show you live in Lake County. Pets are not allowed at Independence Grove. Much of the trail will be protected from the wind by trees. Some hills but mostly flat. Gravel trail. Bathrooms near the parking lot\, only 2 or 3 benches along the trail. 1 mile to Milwaukee and back or 4.3 miles to the long bridge and back.
