DESCRIPTION:Update 12/5 (12:40pm): Due to the cold weather\, the following adjustments have been made to tonight’s Holiday Lights event (12/5). Please see our timeline below: \n\nThe event will now take place from 5:30-6:30pm.\n\n\n5:30pm – Mayor Tom Hood welcomes all\n5:35pm – Santa arrives\n5:40pm – Lighting of the Holiday Lights!\n5:45-6:30pm – all are invited to move indoors to the Gurnee Community Church for cookie and donut decorating\, FREE Jimano’s Pizza (while supplies last)\, ornament making\, and visits with Santa!\n\n\nDon’t forget to bring your non-perishable donations for the Warren Township Center Food Pantry!\n\n\nBundle up and brrr-ing on the FUN! We can’t wait to see you all there!\n\n  \nTIS’ THE SEASON TO CELEBRATE ALL THAT’S MERRY AND BRIGHT! \nSpeaking of bright…join us to kick-off the holidays with a festive holiday light display! The Gurnee Park District\, in partnership with the Village of Gurnee and the Village of Gurnee Chamber of Commerce\, proudly presents “Holiday Lights” at Welton Plaza (Old Grand Avenue)! \nWe’ll have firepits\, s’mores\, and hot chocolate* to keep you warm\, craft stations with cookie and donut decorating to keep you busy\, live ice sculpting\, a DJ playing holiday music throughout the event\, and much more! Special guests include Gurnee Park District Above the Barre Dance Team\, Gurnee Mayor\, Tom Hood\, your favorite “Elf” and his sidekick\, Jovi\, as well as everyone’s favorite holiday duo – Mr. and Mrs. Claus!\n*hot chocolate is provided courtesy of our event sponsor\, Forest Orthodontics & Pediatric Dentistry! \nNEW this year – a commemorative “Holiday Lights” mug will be given to the first 200 children who visit with Santa!  \nFREE pizza will be available from Jimanos Pizza of Gurnee (while supplies last)! \nHelp those in need!
