Summer Kitchen/Band Shell/Liquor Permit Application

A multifaceted facility that can combine an outdoor picnic with indoor space in case of inclement weather along with space for recreation play makes the Summer Kitchen the perfect location for any summer event! This is also one of two outdoor park spaces where liquor is permitted (rules apply).  The Summer Kitchen can accommodate up to 250, although community events are permitted with an increased attendance. Every rental includes use of picnic tables, double grill, sports equipment, tables, benches, folding chairs, refrigerator/freezer, sink with limited hot water, shared use of outdoor bathrooms and limited cleaning supplies at no additional charge. The facility is not air conditioned or screened. Liquor may be served or sold with required insurance and permits. The Dance Hall may be rented in conjunction with the Summer Kitchen to permit an indoor reception area. The Summer Kitchen is an ideal location for large or small picnics, corporate functions and community events.

Band Shell

For an additional fee, the Band Shell is available for use of the grassy area or for a moonwalk/bounce. The Band Shell is available for a band/deejay for community events only and upon approval of the Executive Director.

The Summer Kitchen is available May 1 - September 30, Monday-Friday from 6:30pm-dusk and Saturday - Sunday hours from 8:00am-dusk.  Limited weekdays are available from 8:00am-dusk.

Viking Park Shelter Rental/Liquor Permit Application

This open air shelter is a recreational paradise including badminton/pickleball court, ping pong, shuffleboard and tether ball! This shelter is directly next to the youth playground and the Viking Park Community Center! This is also one of two outdoor park spaces where liquor is permitted (rules apply).  The Viking Park Shelter can accommodate up to 50. Every rental includes use of picnic tables, sports equipment for the games, and shared use of outdoor bathrooms at no additional charge. Liquor may be served or sold with required insurance and permits. The Viking Park Shelter may be rented in conjunction with the Viking Park Dance Hall or Summer Kitchen. The Viking Park Shelter is an ideal location for small picnics. The adjacent small soccer field and baseball field are available for an extra fee. A sports equipment/game bag is available upon request at no extra charge and will include equipment for the shelter's games, field games and more.

Hunt Club Park Shelter / Aquatic Center Group Rental Application

An open air shelter is perfect for an outdoor picnic with room for recreational play! This shelter is adjacent to the Hunt Club Park Aquatic Center which offers group rates and private parties to kick your picnic up a notch! Generators are permitted for an inflatable bounce house rental with required insurance coverage.  Liquor is prohibited.  The Hunt Club Shelter can accommodate up to 50. Every rental includes use of picnic tables, grill, and shared use of outdoor bathrooms. The adjacent small soccer field and baseball field are available for an extra fee. Betty Russell Shelter Rental Application

A facility that combines outdoor & indoor picnic space in case of inclement weather along with space for recreation play!  Liquor is prohibited.  The Betty Russell Shelter can accommodate up to 50 with 30 seated maximum.  The shelter bathrooms are located inside the shelter and must be shared with park users and program participants.  Every rental includes use of picnic tables, grill, and shared use of indoor bathrooms. The adjacent baseball field is available for an extra fee.  Also located at the park for public use is a playground, basketball, tennis courts, and skate park.  A sports equipment/game bag is available upon request at no extra charge. The Betty Russell Shelter is an ideal location for small picnics.

The Betty Russell Shelter is available May 1 - September 30, Friday & Sunday from 8:00am-dusk and Saturday from 1:00pm-dusk.  All other days/times are first come/first serve for groups of 30 and under.

O'Plaine Shelter Rental Application

This shelter is perfect for small picnics and includes picnic tables, grill, playground, basketball, trails and shared indoor bathrooms.  Liquor is prohibited.  The O'Plaine Shelter can accommodate up to 30 with 18 seated maximum.  The shelter bathrooms must be shared with park users and program participants, however they are ideally located on the back end of the shelter.  The adjacent baseball field is available for an extra fee.  A sports equipment/game bag is available upon request at no extra charge.

Availability

The O'Plaine Shelter is available July 21 - September 30, Monday-Friday from 8:00am-dusk.  All other days/times are first come/first serve for groups of 30 and under.

The shelters listed below do not require a rental/reservation and are first come first served.  Liquor is prohibited.  If your group is over 40 or you would like to serve liquor, call our rental coordinator to find a rental facility that fits your needs.
