 Viking Park Singers Presents: Songs We Love To Sing
Sunday, June 30 - 3:00pm - Viking Park Dance Hall - This concert is free to the public
From Rodgers and Hammerstein to the Beach Boys, patriotic favorites and a showcase of beautifully haunting melodies from "Les Miserables", come join the chorus for a rousing concert of our most enduring and popular songs we love to sing! Refreshments served after the performance.
GPD Great American Family Campout
Saturday, July 27 - 6:00pm to Sunday, July 28 - 7:30am - Hunt Club Park
Bring your tent and camp under the stars at Gurnee Park District! Enjoy outdoor games and activities, a campfire and a family movie to round out the evening. Campers will need to bring their own camping equipment (tents, sleeping bags, etc.). Dinner on Saturday evening and a light breakfast on Sunday morning will be provided. No shower facilities will be available. Registration is required. In the event of inclement weather, the camp out will be cancelled. Participants will be notified by 2:00p the day of the event.
 11th Annual Fishing Derby
Saturday, July 13 - 8:30-11:00am - Hunt Club Park - Free to the public
Kids ages 5-11 yrs grab your fishing poles and come to the lake at Hunt Club Park for this free event. Win prizes for the most fish caught, biggest and smallest fish, and most unusual catch! If you don't have your own pole, a limited number will be available. Bait will be provided.
Toddler Olympics
Wednesday, July 31 - 11:30am-1:00pm - Hunt Club Park
Back by popular demand! Bring your toddler ages 3-5 out to "compete" in a variety of pint-size Olympic events! Each child will receive a medal and lunch. Registration is required.
 Old-Fashion Ice Cream Eating Contest
Saturday, August 10 - 4:00pm - Viking Park Band Shell - During Gurnee Days!
How much ice cream can you eat? Gurnee Days is hosting its annual Ice Cream Eating Contest! Free registration is required for ages 7 and up. Sign up early as space fills up quickly!
This event is run by volunteers of the Gurnee Days Corporation

Rec-Mobile
The Rec-Mobile is a FREE traveling recreation program geared for children ages kindergarten through 5th grade. The program travels to community parks bringing game, sports, arts and crafts, organized and free play to our parks on Mondays and Wednesdays, through August 7 - 6:30-8:30pm - at a Park Near you!
