Jön Anderson

Education: B.A. in Exercise Science from North Park University. NASM Certified Personal Trainer. IDEA Group Fitness Instructor.

 

Passions and Fitness Philosophy: Jön believes that personal training is specific to each individual. Not all diets and programs work for everyone. As being a person who has always struggled himself, he has personal experience in finding what will work for you in reaching your goals. His areas of special interest are obesity, rehabilitation, childhood obesity, seniors and active adults. Jön is well versed in working with all clientele, however, and can work with you to reach your goals no matter what your circumstances are. When he’s not working, Jön enjoys continuing his fitness education, spending time with his son, and watching movies.

 

 

 

 

 

Karen Hymes

Education: Juris Doctor, Ca. Bar # 153785, ACSM Certified Personal Trainer, Les Mills Certified Bodypump and Bootcamp Instructor.

 

Passions and Fitness Philosophy:  Karen has spent almost 25 years in the industry.  As such, she knows first-hand the pressures of balancing work-family obligations and the limited time most people have to devote to fitness.  Karen believes that the most time efficient and effective fitness approach is a combination of strength training, plyometrics and varied cardiovascular exercises.  As a distance runner since age 10, Karen is interested in training other runners and athletes as well as those who are beginning an exercise program for the first time.  Karen takes an educated, hands-on, no-holds-barred approach.  She will definitely push you, safely, but hard.

 

 

 

Larisa Kenny

 

Education:  I received my 200 hour RYT Certification from my mentor, Silvia Mordini and Total Body Yoga, as well as a certification in Prenatal Yoga.  My foundations are in Anusara inspired Vinyasa Flow and lyengar and therapeutic yoga.

 

Passions and Fitness Philosophy: Larisa believes that the practice of Yoga enhances and improves the quality of our lives.  She has the privilege of sharing the physical and mental benefits of Yoga to her Senior clients and her Yoga students.  Yoga allows you to focus on yourself: changing and bettering your perspective of the world and how you see people.  She helps her students do this by teaching Vinyasa Flow incorporated with the philosophies of Yoga.  Her teachings are vivacious and fun yet therapeutic and calming.  Larisa works to reduce student's stress and worries, and instill a sense of calmness. they become more aware of their bodies and connected to their breath. And, her hope is that they take her teachings into their daily lives. Larisa feel s that everyone could benefit from practicing Yoga. Yoga doesn't have to be expensive or take too much time: you don't have to be flexible: and your physical appearance doesn't matter.  Yoga is about community and your well-being. By practicing Yoga, not only do you learn how to breathe and do the poses, you learn how to live your life.
