Children Active in Recreation Enrichment offers quality care for children before and after school. The program is relaxed and recreational-based to counter-balance the day's educational activities. C.A.R.E. allowed children the opportunity to express themselves through a variety of activities that include games, crafts, sports, science, special events, personal health, outdoor play, and quiet time for reading and homework. Part-Time

Transportation Information
Special Arrangements are made by the parents with Districts 50 and 56 transportation for school bus pick up and drop off. Parents are responsible for contacting the school for bus information.

Early Dismissal
Dates are subject to change based on the school schedule. Early release days are included in the monthly fee with the exception of the first and last days of school.

School Closings/Inclement Weather
CARE programs follow your child's school district calendar. Care will not be in session on days when schools are closed due to inclement weather or emergencies, i.e. snow days. Please listen to the following radio stations for possible school closings WKRS (1220 AM) or WXLC (103.3 FM). You can also check on the Gurnee Park District website for program information.

School Days Off
There are special Days Off Programs scheduled when Districts 50 and/or 56 are not in session. Please see Days Off School Programs to register. A separate registration form and fee are required. Days Off School Programs are for children in K-5th grades.

Inclusion
Inclusion services are available for children with special needs. Please call Warren Special Recreation Association at 847-244-6619 for more information.

Payments will be made month to month. We no longer require a payment for the child's last month of CARE at the time of registration.

Participants will pay the 1st month's payment at the time of registration. This payment covers September with the cutoff for registration two weeks prior to the first day of school.

The payment plan requires each installment due by the 15th of each month beginning with September 15, 2010. For example, payment for the month of October will be due on September 15.

Should payment be received after the 15th of the month, a $10.00 late fee will be assessed.

If payment is not received by the 1st of the month the child will not be allowed entry into the CARE program.

Full payment must be received before a child can resume attending CARE.

Payments are based on the total number of days in the school year divided into nine equal installments.

If a child is withdrawn at anytime during the school year, the fee is not refundable and will not be prorated for partial month attendance.

Parents are encouraged to sign up for automatic payments. Payments can be charged to your credit card or directly debited from your bank account through EFT (Electronic Fund Transfer). Transactions will occur on the 15th of every month or on the first business day after the 15th. To enroll, complete and return the EFT Form below.
