Celebrating 10 years of friendly service, the 2010 Farmers Market will run for 17 weeks on Friday mornings from 8:00am until 1:00pm, from June 11 through October 1, at Petersen Park. This year, the market will be OPEN on Friday July 2 for your Independence Day shopping needs.

The Gurnee Park District Farmers' Market features fruits, vegetables, flowers, breads, pastries and goodies, meat, eggs, take and go food and much more.

We are no longer accepting vendors for the 2010 Farmers' Market. If you are interested in becoming a vendor for 2011, please email Kristi Chirempes at kristi@gurneeparkdistrict.com, with your business name, contact person, address and telephone number to be added to the vendor mailing list. Applications for the 2011 market season will be sent out in February of 2011.

Bring your furry friend out for a morning of dog-gone fun! Dogs and their owners will parade around in their best costumes on our 1/2 mile trail loop - with plenty of smells!

• Pet walk begins at 9:30a. All four-legged finishers receive a medal.
• Doggy Costume Contest - Sign-up will be from 9:00 - 10:00a. Judging will take place at 10:30a.
• Visit with local vendors and organizations who will be on site to provide information about their services along with products.
• Water and refreshments will be provided for two and four legged participants!

Trick or treat through Viking Park with nearly 50 of your favorite friendly characters. Walk from "house to house" and get treats from Elmo, Winnie the Pooh & friends, Sponge Bob, Mickey & Minnie, your favorite princesses and more!

Pre-register by Friday, October 8 and SAVE $2 per registered child.

Refreshments will be available. The last walk through will begin at 7:00p.

Note: Parents must attend but do not pay. This event is held outdoors - please dress for the weather.
