Gymnastics at the Gymnastics Factory


These programs teach skills to various age levels. Children must be the appropriate age by the first class. Participants from other Park Districts may be added with an actual class max of 12. The staff to participants ratio is 1:10. Contracted through the Gymnastics Factory whose coaches are U.S.G.A. Safety Certified.

Moms & Minis (12 mos. - 3 yrs.) You and  your toddler will play on the mats and work on your child’s physical coordination.

Pee Wee Gymnastics (3 - 4 yrs.); Tiny Tot Gymnastics (4 - 5 yrs.) Children develop large motor skills using various pieces of equipment like balls, planks, beams, trampoline, and the bars.  

Youth Girls Gymnastics
(6 - 8 yrs. & 9 - 12 yrs.) Youth Boys Gymnastics (6 - 9 yrs.) Students learn the basic skills  to become a good gymnast such as tumbling, trampoline bars, beam and “the pit”.   

Cheerleading Tumbling (8 - 12 yrs.)  Cheer-leaders will learn back handsprings, leaps, and body positions for safe cheerleading techniques.


Gymnastics at The Little Gym

As the world’s premier provider of motor skill development programs for children, Little Gym develops physical, social and intellectual skills that build confidences in your child! Certified instructors are trained in gymnastics and early childhood. Classes are taught in a fun, clean, and non-competitive environment. Parent/Child Program: Birds (4-10 mos.); Birds (10-19 mos.); Beasts (19- 30 mos.); & Superbeasts (2½ - 3½ yrs.)

Preschool/Kindergarten: Funnybugs (3 yrs.); Giggleworms (4 yrs.);  Goodfriends (5 yrs.)

Grade School Gymnastics: Flips/Twisters (Beg/Int: 6-12 yrs.); & Hotshots (Boys: 6-12 yrs)

Jazzy Bug (3 yrs.) & Giggle Toes (4 yrs.) A unique gymnastics and dance combination

Mini Jacks (3-6 yrs.) Developing coordination, strength and skill with sports equipment and gymnastics

Chopsticks (3 – 5 yrs.) Gymnastics taught with an added emphasis on basic karate techniques

Gymnastics at Ultimate Gymnastics

Children learn the importance of skill progression and safety. Classes do not exceed an 8 student to 1 instructor ratio. Children must be the appropriate age by the first class of the session. Classes, which may be combined, are contracted through Ultimate Gymnastics whose instructors are U.S.A.G Safety Certified. Missed classes can not be made up.

Parent and Mite (2 - 3 yrs.): With some help from you, your child will develop large muscle group skills as well as hand-eye coordination and imagination.

Tiny Mite (3 - 4 yrs.): While learning all of the basic gymnastic skills, your child will progress in strength, flexibility and coordination. Equipment setups eliminate waiting in lines. Students continue without stopping, which improves cardiovascular endurance.

Ulti-Mite (4 - 5 yrs.): This class teaches the basics of gymnastics in preparation for the Junior Beginner level. The exciting obstacle courses keep children motivated and busy while learning.

Girls' Junior Beginners (5 - 6 yrs.) & Girls' Beginners (7 yrs. & up): Children begin to intermingle gymnastic knowledge with strength and flexibility to perfect skills. By following the U.S.G.F. level program, instructors help children build self-confidence and future building blocks.

Beginning Cheer (6 yrs. & up): Fundamentals of cheerleading are taught in this fun, fast pace class. Children will learn hand motions, jumps, basic tumbling and formations.

Gymnastics program registrations must be received one week prior to class start dates.

What to Wear to Gymnastics

Comfortable shorts or sweat pants, with a tucked-in shirt. Leotards are great. Do not wear dangle-type jewelry. Please pull hair up. No zippers or large buckles.
