The Gurnee Park District continues to offer rental facilities to accommodate picnics, parties, receptions, banquets and meetings. Renters are responsible for set up and clean up of facilities. Applications may be obtained at the Gurnee Park District registration office located in Viking Park, 4374 Old Grand Ave., Gurnee. For more information, please contact Alexa at 599-3760. This "rustic" facility can accommodate up to 186 persons for dining or a meeting. Chairs (186) and banquet tables (22) are available at no additional charge. Adjacent to the hall is a wet bar and kitchen. Viking Park Dance Hall is an ideal location for wedding receptions, large meetings, organization parties and banquets.The dance hall may be reserved one year prior to your event. Dance hall hours cannot begin before 5:00 pm on Friday evenings and10:00 am on Saturdays and Sundays. Rentals must end by 1am on Fridays and Saturdays and 10:00 pm on Sundays (this includes setup, event and cleanup hours). Total attendance in the dance hall is 186 with tables and chairs and 200 stadium/auditorium seating

An hourly rate may be considered if the event is under 50 people, liquor is not being served, the event is under 5 hours, and a large meal is not being served. There is a two-hour minimum rental.

Viking Park Summer Kitchen Rental Form

This facility, located in Viking Park, is ideal for family reunions and group picnics. Water, refrigerator, and grill are in the Summer Kitchen area. Parking and washrooms are nearby. This facility is not heated or screened. A $50 deposit is required to secure a rental date. Rental hours are restricted to the posted park hours. Reservations and Deposits for 2009 will be accepted beginning January 2009 for residents and March 19 for nonresidents (exact dates will be post soon).

Betty Russell Community Park Shelter

The shelter at Betty Russell Community Park is ideal for small gatherings such as baby showers,birthday parties for children or scouting events. This facility is available on a first come first serve basis from April 15-September 30 during posted park hours.
The maximum capacity allowed is 30 people.
Washrooms are located in the facility and are available for general public use.
Alcohol is prohibited.
