The Gurnee Park District is governed by five elected commissioners who set the general policies of the District.

Board Meetings
In accordance with the Open Meetings Act, the following is a list of regular Park Board Meeting dates for the 2007/2008 fiscal year. All regular meetings will be held on the third Tuesday of the month at 7pm in the Viking Park Community Center Activity Room 4, 4374 Old Grand Avenue, Gurnee, IL.  Notification of schedule changes will be made and posted. Agendas are published and posted on this website prior to Board Meetings. Once approved by the Park Board, Minutes will be published and available on this website.

This schedule is subject to such changes as the Board of Commissioners of the Gurnee Park District shall determine and law shall allow, notice of such changes shall be given as required by law. All such meetings shall be open to the public, except those meetings, or portions of meetings which the Board of Commissioners of the Gurnee Park District shall determine to be held in private and which the law shall allow to be held in private.
