Themed Children's Birthday Parties at Hunt Club Park Community Center

Have a Birthday Bash with the Gurnee Park District!  The Hunt Club Park Community Center is the perfect place for birthday fun! Our two party attendants will keep the children entertained in the themed party of your choice while you enjoy the fun! Themed parties are filled with a variety of games & activities, plus each guest will create and take home a themed craft.

Parties run 90 minutes in length with a minimum of 12 children. For additional guests over 12 (up to 20) please add $5.00 per person. For World Cup Soccer and Character Parties, additional guests over 12 (up to 15 total) please add $9.00 per person. All parties include a decorated room and table, 60 minutes for the activity, 30 minutes for refreshments, opening gifts and clean up.

Birthday Parties are available on the weekends, please call for availability. A $30 non-refundable deposit is required at time of reservation. Full payment must be made seven days prior to the party.

Fees and party packages are subject to change. Applications for birthday parties may be downloaded below. Also, applications may be picked up at either Hunt Club or Viking Park Community Center registration offices.

Toddler Open Gym Party

If you like our Toddler Open Gym time, you will love our Toddler Open Gym Birthday Party!  Bring your birthday child and their friends to play with scooters, beanbags, balls and more! This is a perfect birthday party for little ones to play and socialize in a non-structured setting!

Dance Party

Let's get this party started! A dance instructor will lead your party in a variety of choreographed dance routines. The guest of honor can choose from ballet, hip-hop, jazz or their own combination of dance styles. Kids won't miss a beat, with a wide variety of the latest kid friendly dance music from Disney, Hannah Montana, Jonas Brothers, Taylor Swift, Justin Beiber and much more.

Tropical Luau

No matter the weather outside, the sun is always shining at this tropical luau party! Slip on your grass skirt and sandals, and join us for a tropical getaway you won't forget! See how low you can go under the limbo stick, challenge your guests to a hip shaking hula hoop contest and much more!

Pirate Voyage

Ahoy Mateys! Bring your buccaneers and scalawags on an adventure-filled journey, in search of treasure and legendary fun. "X" marks the spot for this swashbuckling party.

Ultimate Sports

Shoot, kick, pass, score or reach new heights on our climbing wall at this high energy birthday party with your friends. Our party leaders will facilitate open gym play in one-half of the gym, which could include basketball, flag football, volleyball, scooter relay races and much more! All equipment is provided. Be ready for non-stop fun!

Under the Big Top

Step right up and join the fun! Our Masters of Ceremonies will lead your guests in a variety of carnival games which could include beanbag toss, skee ball, knock down, floating ducks and more! Everyone is a winner at this fun-filled party!

World Cup Soccer

This high energy birthday party is perfect for the child who loves soccer. Coach Doogie Clark will lead children through the fundamentals of the game while teaching them teamwork and cooperation. Soccer parties for children 8-12 years of age will be more challenging and introduce the spirit of healthy competition. The activity portion of this party will be 50 minutes and 40 minutes for cake/beverage and gift opening. Contracted with Doogie Clark.

Our outdoor Hunt Club Park Aquatic Center is closed for the season!

Start planning your summer 2012 parties!  We will began taking applications for residents on January 7, 2012.  Nonresidents may begin booking during normal business hours on March 1, 2012.

Otter's Cove Birthday Parties at Hunt Club Park Aquatic Center

Celebrate your birthday at Otter’s Cove speeding down water slides, free falling from the drop slides, relaxing on the deck, munching on a meal with friends and family from our new Cattail Cafe and Grill and blowing out candles in our party tent! You bring the cake, we bring the fun! It’s a birthday wish come true!  A birthday party package at Otter’s Cove includes admission for up to 15 children and 3 adult chaperones, two hours of exclusive use of the Otter’s Cove party tent area, candles, lighter, cake knife/server, tablecloths, Cattail Cafe and Grill meal combos for 18, "I had my cake and ate it to at Otter’s Cove!" T-shirt for the birthday child and all the fun the aquatic center has to offer! Party package add-ons are available for an extra fee including T-shirts for all the children and soft serve ice cream for 18. Additional guests are welcome over the 18 in the party package for an additional fee.

Otter's Cove Birthday Application

Availability

Birthday parties are available Memorial Day thru Labor Day with daily party times of 11:30am-1:30pm, 2:00pm-4:00pm, and 5:00pm-7:00pm.

Reservations

Residents may begin reserving the first Saturday of January and Nonresidents reservations begin March 1 annually. Book your party by May 15 and take advantage of our Early Bird Rates. (Additional guests may be added closer to the party date at the same reduced rate.) To apply, please complete an application and return it to the Gurnee Park District in person with the reservation deposit of $50 toward the package fee and proof of residency. Reservations will not be taken over the phone. All applications are submitted first come, first served. Submitting an application does not guarantee confirmation of a rental. Rentals will be confirmed within 2 - 3 business days. Applications are available online and at both community centers.

Tours

Visit our Hunt Club Park Aquatic Center for a tour during business hours of 12:00p-8:00p daily from Memorial Day through Labor Day.
